Foundation: Robot + Code Bootcamp

Every child starts here. No experience needed. By the end, they will have built a working robot entirely on their own.

The Foundation is the starting point for every student. It is designed so that a child with zero coding or robotics experience walks in on day one, and by session eight, they have a working robot they coded themselves.

Over eight sessions, your child goes from opening the box to building a robot that follows them around the room, avoids walls, responds to sounds, and shows emotions on its screen. They start with visual drag-and-drop coding (no typing required) and finish by writing their first real Python program.

The progression is deliberate. Each session builds on the last. First they learn how the robot "feels" the world through sensors. Then they write rules: "if something is close, stop." Then loops, variables, and functions. By the midpoint, they are building complex behaviors from simple building blocks.

The final session is a showcase. Your child presents their robot to you and explains how it works. This is not a rehearsed script. They built it. They understand it. And they can prove it.

What your child shows you at the end

The Smart Pet Robot

Your child's robot comes alive as a pet with personality. It follows them around the room, runs away when the room goes dark, shows happy or grumpy faces on its screen, sings when it is bored, and calls for help if it tips over.

What you see: A robot your child built from scratch that has emotions, avoids walls, and responds to the environment.

What your child feels: "I made a living thing. It does what I told it to do."

The Art Robot

Your child attaches a marker to the robot and programs it to draw precise geometric shapes: stars, spirals, their name, or pixel art on a large sheet of paper. The robot draws shapes the child designed through math and code.

What you see: A drawing that a robot made, controlled entirely by code your child wrote.

What your child feels: "Math actually does something cool. My code made real art."

What your child will experience

Unbox and build a real robot

Your child assembles their own robot from parts, connects sensors, and powers it on for the first time.

Learn to code from zero

Starting with visual blocks, then graduating to Python. No prior experience needed.

Sensors and smart decisions

The robot uses distance sensors, light detectors, and sound to make decisions on its own.

From blocks to real Python

By session 7, your child writes their first lines of Python, the same language used by professionals.

Present to the family

The final session is a live demo where your child shows you what they built and explains how it works.

Certificate of completion

Every child earns a NyroCraft Foundation Certificate they can be proud of.

This module is shaped by your child

We do not teach from a fixed script. During early sessions, we observe what excites your child most, then guide them to set a personal goal for this module. The content and pace are tailored to match their curiosity, so every session feels like it was made for them.
